Marielle Plaisir | A World of Utopias

Nov 2025

The exhibition A World of Utopias unfolds as a constellation of works—3D backlits, paintings, a bronze sculpture, and a VR experience—that navigate between inherited symbols and the possibility of renewal. In this body of work, Plaisir insists: I have hope and I believe in Humanity.

The exhibition also extends into a VR experience, where vision, sound, and sensation intertwine. The work unsettles perception—you see and feel one thing, while your mind insists on another truth. Underscored by the music of Chevalier de Saint-George, the Guadeloupean violinist known as the Black Mozart, the VR proposes utopia not as fantasy but as persistence: a call to empathy, a passage between past and future, where resilience and beauty resist erasure.
