Marielle Plaisir

Marielle Plaisir is a French-Caribbean multi-media artist currently living & working in Miami, Florida.

A recipient of the 2022 Knight Foundation New Work grant, Plaisir combines painting, drawing and performance to present intense visual experiences.

With exhibitions in multiple group and solo exhibitions globally, her works reside in institutional collections including Moca Museum Miami (USA), Gregg Museum (USA), Museum of Aquitaine (France), The Frost Museum (Miami), and the The Musée du Quai Branly (Paris).

Recent institutional shows have included the Museum of Orlando and the Bo Bartlett Center, Colombia University, and in June 2021, Plaisir was awarded the 2021 Southern Prize along with a two-week residency at the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Science
